Giving Back to the Community

We donate 1% of sales, provide scholarships and donate our training services.

1% of All Sales go to Organizations Making a Difference

In 2019, we started a new initiative − the 1% pledge. This means that every year we’ll donate $1 out of every $100 we earn.

Why? Because we believe that running a business is not just about making a profit. It’s also about rallying our customers, partners and employees around issues that impact many of us, and it’s about helping the communities where we operate.

All of our chosen organizations are rated 4 out of 4 stars by the non-profit Charity Navigator, an unbiased and objective evaluator that uses a numbers-based system to rate each charity on two dimensions — 1) Accountability & Transparency and 2) Financial Health.

We are honored to contribute donations to these organizations supporting causes that matter to us.

Freedom Service Dogs of America helps veterans, active-duty military, children and other adults in need by pairing them with dogs primarily from shelters and rescues that have been transformed into custom-trained, life-changing assistance dogs.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation was founded in honor of a firefighter who died on 9/11. The organization helps the surviving families of firefighters, emergency workers, military and law enforcement who lose their lives in the line of duty.

The Kids In Need Foundation works to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need, with $1+ billion in supplies distributed.

The National Forest Foundation works with the U.S Forest Service and thousands of Americans to promote the health and public enjoyment of the 193-million-acre National Forest System.

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America was founded to fill the gap that existed on a national level to assure quality of care and excellence in service to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses, and to their caregivers and families.

Scholarships for College and High School Students

Each year, we award monetary scholarships to U.S. college students who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward.

In addition, we offer scholarships to U.S. high school students to get complimentary access to our Part 107 test prep course, Drone Pilot Ground School.

Learn more about our scholarship programs here.

Donate Our Services to Raise Money

Another way we support important causes is by donating our services to non-profit organizations. We donate drone training classes for non-profit fundraisers, auctions and other events organized to raise money for a worthy cause.

If your organization is putting on a fundraiser or gala with a live or silent auction, contact lana@uavcoach.com to discuss a donation from UAV Coach.

Organizations we’ve partnered with in the past include:

  • Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee
  • Nashville’s Gordon JCC
  • The Icla da Silva Foundation
