Gold Seal CFII, MEI, ATP, Chief Pilot – Part 141 Flight School, Lecturer
David Jensen consults on Curriculum Development at Drone Pilot Ground School.
After completing an MBA in Finance from Pace University in 1988, David entered the banking world. At about the same time, he began his love affair with flying. He became a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), then a CFII, then an Airline Transport Pilot, then a Multi-engine instructor…he loves flying.
He has had various management and aviation positions during his career. He has been Chief Pilot of an FAA Part 141 flight school (after writing the program); he has been an Adjunct Professor at Dowling College – School of Aviation; he is a high school teacher of Aviation at a technical high school; he is a Certified Flight Instructor; all the while running a multi-state janitorial services organization.
He has over 4,600 hours of flight time and still flies as much as possible. He says that “it’s always cheaper to fly general aviation, you just have to massage the numbers!”
I enjoy all aspects of aviation and will talk about it to anyone, anytime. Just ask my wife.
He also enjoys motorcycling and SCUBA. He lives with his wonderful wife Elaine and two beautiful children Danielle and William. David is fluent, if a little rusty in Spanish. His brother Bill and his other hero Vincent Nasta are responsible for his aviation knowledge and success. He owns his own plane and uses it for pleasure flights and business flights up and down the east coast.
